An exquisite white porcelain incense burner in hexagonal openwork by Gyokusen XIII (Fukumoto Kuzuichi).
Openwork Carving (Sukashi-bori) - Hirado porcelain (also known as Mikawachi Ware) is renowned for its delicate openwork carving,
created by carefully cutting patterns into the thin white porcelain body.
This refined technique highlights the translucency and purity of the clay, producing pieces that combine elegance with remarkable craftsmanship.
Old stock (unused) from an Arita-based dealer. It was likely made several decades ago, though the exact date is uncertain.
Handmade in Mikawachi town, Japan by Fukumoto Kazuichi (1908–?), 13th generation of the Gyokusen Kiln.
