Handpainted sometsuke tea bowl - Sardines
     
 Larger than a tea cup but smaller than a matcha bowl, this charmingly rustic
tea bowl is perfect for Sencha and can be used as a small bowl for matcha. 
The bottle drawn inside the bowl is called "Compra bottle" which was produced in the 19th century for exporting soy sauce and sake by The Dutch East India Company (aka VOC) to Europe.
