Satetsu Futongata Honkikko pattern Tetsubin kettle with a copper lid by Kunzan

Crafted by the third generation traditional craftsman Kunzan, Mr. Sasaki Kazuo and his team. He is known for his mastery of traditional techniques coupled with imaginative new innovations.

Iron made of iron sand is rigid and hard to process, but it has a dignified beauty. As iron sand is getting harder to obtain , iron sand kettles are becoming less common.
Very elaborate pattern on a popular futongata shape.
The interior is coated with natural Japanese lacquer. The handle is fixed in place and cannot be folded down.
Copper lid is a generic name for this kind of lid. This is actually made of brass ( an alloy of copper and zinc).

Length : Approx. 19.7 cm / 7.7"
